Introduction
The names in these lists are from Walter L. Wakefield's Heretics and
Inquisitors: The Case of Auriac and Cambiac, in Journal of Medieval
History 12 (1986). These names were taken from inquisition records,
being the names of accused heretics or witnesses called by the inquisition.
The two villages were in Languedoc and the inquisitions took place around
1240.
Editor's Note: The names on these lists are a mixture of Latin
forms, Old French forms, and modern forms. The masculine names, in
particular, are mostly modern English spellings.
