The following male given names are taken from an in-progress publication of the Roll of Students from the University of Kraków (now known as Jagiellonian University). Volume 1 contains the text of Bibliotheca Jagellonica codex 258 (1400-1508), and volume 2 the text of codex 259 (1509-1551).
The rolls are in Latin, and each entry is laid out in a standard form:
given name, patronym, place of origin, total fees paid.
The place of origin is usually listed in an inflected form, but the form de X can also be seen.
Because of the standard format of entries, bynames cannot be inferred. However, the entries could very easily be used to provide inflected placenames to accompany documented byname patterns.
As there are over 5,000 entries in each volume, it would be impossible for me to index all the names contained within. However, the compilers of these editions have very helpfully extracted the names which occur most frequently in each volume; I have listed them here. I've also listed a selection of some of the more unusual names from each volume.
